Track Athlete Of The Week
Bella Koepsell, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (So.)
Sophomore Bella Koepsell led the Monks on the track at the Maine State Championships with a strong 800-meter performance, placing fifth in 2:26.72 to secure four points. She doubled back to run on the 4x400-meter relay that finished fifth in 4:36.30, helping the Monks close out the meet with another scoring effort. Koepsell’s 800m performance now has her sitting in first within the Conference Rankings.
Field Athlete Of The Week
Olivia Bean, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (So.)
Sophomore Olivia Bean turned in one of the top field performances for the Monks at the Maine State meet, placing third in the triple jump with a mark of 10.82m (35’ 6”), a New England Division III provisional qualifier that earned six points. This new mark has her tied for first in the GNAC as well as tied for the Saint Joseph’s College Program Record. She also contributed in the long jump with a best of 4.56m.
Rookie Of The Week
Amber Pendleton, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Fr.)
Freshman mid-distance standout Amber Pendleton posted a strong showing in her Maine State debut, placing eighth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:29.88 to grab a point in a deep field. She also ran on the 4x400-meter relay that clocked 4:36.30 for fifth place, contributing to a solid relay finish at the end of a long day. Pendleton’s scoring 800 places her third overall in the conference rankings heading into championship weekend.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Teddy Pollack, Colby-Sawyer - Pollack had a strong week this week at the Riverhawk Invitational against schools across multiple divisions. Teddy finished 13th overall in the weight throw, with a distance of 11.47m. She would go on to throw 9.10m in shot put.
Sofia Rowen, Emmanuel - Rowen finished in sixth place in the 400 Meters at the Riverhawk Invitational with a time of 1:02.62, which leads the GNAC leaderboards.
Colleen Bartel, Lasell - Bartel jumped 9.42m to place 11th in the Open Section of the Women's Triple Jump, being the second best DIII finisher in the open, and seventh best DIII finisher when including the invitational section of the event.
