2025 GNAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Award Winners Announced
WINTHROP, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced its 2024-25 Women’s Outdoor Track & Field major award winners on Wednesday afternoon.
The winners were recognized for their performance throughout the entire indoor season, including the 2025 GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The honorees were selected by a vote conducted by the league’s seven Outdoor track & field head coaches.
Lulani Haslinger was named Outdoor Track Athlete/Rookie of the Year while Desiree Robinson was selected as Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year. Emmanuel College won coaching staff of the year as well as the institutional sportsmanship award.
In addition to this year’s award winners, the medalists in each event at the 2025 GNAC Championships were recognized as All-Conference performers and one student-athlete from each team was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

TRACK ATHLETE/ROOKIE OF THE YEAR Lulani Haslinger, Johnson & Wales Lulani Haslinger led in three events across GNAC leaderboards as the Groton, N.Y. led in the 1500m (4:58.55) at the Silfen Invitational, 5K (18:19.52) at the Corsair Classic Track & Field Invitational and the 3k Steeplechase (11:41.04) at the Silfen Invite as well. At the conference championship made the podium in all 6 of her events at the conference championship meet, helping lead her team to the championship win. Her individual 44 points accounted for nearly 25% of the team's total. She won the 1500m, 3k SC, & 5k to end the meet and set a new conference record. Her second place finish in the 10k was under the previous conference record as well. She also helped her team secure bronze in the 4x800 and she earned an individual bronze in the open 800m. Haslinger was named Track Athlete of the Week twice this past spring. |

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE YEAR Desiree Robinson, Emmanuel Desiree Robinson was the leader across every GNAC leaderboard in every field event that she parttaken in during the spring season. The New Haven, Conn. Senior had conference-led marks in the High Jump (1.58m), Long Jump (5.29m), and the Triple Jump (11.18m), in which those three marks were all completed at MIT's Sean Collier Invite. Robinson was the high jump, triple jump, and long jump champion at the GNAC's and was the runner up in the 400 hurdles and also was on the 4x800 relay winning. She also won GNAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week three times this past spring. |
