Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Report - Week 4

Offensive Player of the Week
Ciara Perez, (Manchester, Conn.), Junior, Outside Hitter, University of Saint Joseph (CT)
Perez had team-bests of 44 kills and 50 digs for the week as the Blue Jays went 3-1. She had 18 kills and 18 digs in five sets against Elms and 12 kills and 16 digs in a three-set sweep of Daniel Webster. The outside hitter finished the week with 3.38 kills per set along with 3.85 digs per set.

Defensive Player of the Week
Holly Bannister (Cumberland, Maine), Senior, Middle Back, Saint Joseph's College (ME)
Bannister was a force to be reckoned with at the net in a GNAC tri-match sweep on Saturday. The senior middle hitter registered 15 total blocks in conference wins over Simmons College and Suffolk University, with seven total (six solo) to help the Royal Blue blank the Sharks, 3-0, and eight (five solo) in a 3-1 victory over the Rams.

Rookie of the Week
Abigail Rollins (North Caldwell, N.J.), Freshman, Outside Hitter, Lasell College
The Lasers freshmen outside hitter had a big week for Lasell as she helped them to three wins in four matches. Rollins averaged 3.67 kills/set while chipping in 2.67 digs/set on the week. She finished with a match-best 16 kills in Lasell's 3-1 victory over UMD, and was in double figure kills in three of the Lasers four matches.
