Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Report - Week 8

Offensive Player of the Week
Felicia Wachowiak (Milton, N.H.), Sophomore, Middle Hitter, Saint Joseph's College (ME)
Wachowiak enjoyed a fantastic week for the Monks as she registered 46 kills and just 11 attack errors for a .361 attack percentage over four matches. She also added seven total blocks and 15 digs during the 2-2 week.

Defensive Player of the Week
Angie Hershberger (Felton, Calif.), Sophomore, Outside Hitter, Norwich University
Hershberger paced the Norwich defense with 35 digs this week, averaging 3.89 digs per set. The sophomore recorded 17 digs against DII opponent, Saint Michael's and would also produce a 12-dig effort against Saint Joseph's College. In addition, Hershberger aided the offense with 12 kills. 

Rookie of the Week
Kaitlyn Atkinson (Brookline, N.H.), Freshman, Middle Hitter, Emmanuel College
The rookie middle led the Saints to a 2-1 week, including an unbeaten GNAC run. Atkinson averaged 3.00 kills per set, while hitting at a .308 clip, totaling 18 kills in 39 swings with only six errors. The Brookline, N.H. native also put back three blocks in her two matches played this week.

Samantha Parker (Athol, Mass.), Sophomore, Setter, Anna Maria College
