Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Report - Week 9

Offensive Player of the Week
Emily O'Reilly (San Francisco, Calif.), Sophomore, Setter, Rivier University
Emily O'Reilly had another outstanding week leading Rivier to three GNAC wins and a perfect 11-0 record and undefeated regular season. The sophomore setter dished out 95 assists and averaged 10.56 assists per set on the week in sweeps over Emmanuel, Lasell, and University of Saint Joseph (CT) all while directing Rivier to a team .285 hitting percentage. The San Francisco native also chipped in with 14 digs and 4 service aces and highlighted her week with a 34 assist performance in a 3-0 win over Lasell.

Defensive Player of the Week
Abbie McPhee (Epping, N.H.), Sophomore, Libero, Saint Joseph's College (ME)
McPhee was recently asked to take on a larger role and thrived in a 2-1 week for Saint Joseph's College (ME). The sophomore libero tallied 71 digs, good for 5.92 digs per set average, including 33 in a five-set victory over the University of Southern Maine on Thursday.

Rookie of the Week
Kaitlyn Atkinson (Brookline, N.H.), Freshman, Middle Hitter, Emmanuel College
The freshman middle led the Saints to a 2-1 week, hitting .358 over her three matches played. Atkinson led EC offensively and defensively with an average of 3.50 kills per set and an average of 0.90 blocks per set as Emmanuel clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming GNAC playoffs.
