Player Of The Week
Genna Hyde, Mitchell (So.)
Sophomore Genna Hyde kicked off the season in impressive fashion, racking up 41 kills and 23 digs across a pair of non-conference matches. Hyde averaged 5.13 kills per set, posting a .320 attack percentage on the week and added seven service aces, as the Mariners went 1-1 on the week. She opened the season by collecting a career-high 26 kills to go along with 13 digs in a five set thriller against SUNY Maritime. She then tallied 15 kills and 10 digs in a three set sweep of Mass. Maritime.
Libero Of The Week
Julia Lent, Mitchell (Sr.)
Senior Julia Lent had a strong start to her season, racking up 42 total digs across two matches, helping lead Mitchell to a 1-1 record. Lent added 14 assists and three service aces, while averaging 5.25 digs per set. She began her season with 28 digs (5.60 digs per set) in a five set thriller against SUNY Maritime, also handing out nine assists. Lent then collected 14 defensive digs in a straight set sweep of Mass. Maritime. Added five assists and a pair of service aces against Mass. Maritime.
Setter Of The Week
Sydney Katz, Lasell (Sr.)
Senior Sydney Katz opened up the season strong for the Lasers as she totaled 49 assists in two victory sweeps over Husson and Gordon, averaging 8.17 assists per set along with 2.83 digs per set (17 total). Katz opened the season with 21 assists and six digs over Husson and followed with a 28 assist and 11 dig double-double over Gordon.
Rookie Of The Week
Keagan Serverius, Simmons (Fr.)
First-Year Keagan Serverius had an impressive season debut as she collected a 33 assist and 15 dig double-double in five sets against Emerson and followed with 29 assists over Endicott to total 62 assists (6.89 a/s) and 20 digs (2.22 d/s).
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Majo Pelaez, Albertus Magnus - Had 25 kills (2.78 k/s) and 27 digs (3.00 d/s) in a 1-1 week for Albertus Magnus, registering double-doubles in both matches (15 kills, 16 digs: Mt. St. Mary, 10 kills, 11 digs: St. Elizabeth).
Bree Bacon, Colby-Sawyer - Recorded two double-doubles across two matches with 23 assists and 12 digs against New Jersey City and 21 assists/12 digs over John Jay.
Morgan Bogli, Lasell - Had 13 kills and six total blocks in two Lasell victories over Husson and Gordon.
Cimber Jenkins, Mitchell - Racked up 20 kills, 19 digs, and 18 assists, with a .276 hitting percentage in a 1-1 week and added six service aces, while averaging 2.50 kills per set and 2.38 digs per set. She kicked off her collegiate career with 12 kills, 12 assists, and nine digs in a five set thriller against SUNY Maritime. She then tallied eight kills, six assists, and 10 digs in a straight set sweep of Mass. Maritime.
Alexandra Rivera, Regis - Totaled 60 assists (6.67 per set) over three matches at the Brandeis Invitational, highlighted by a 30-assist performance in the Pride's 3-1 win over Brandeis. She bookended her weekend with a 24 assist performance against WPI. She added nine digs, three service aces, and chipped in offensively with a kill, averaging 0.5 points per set on the weekend.
Lily Seibel, Rivier - Totaled 66 assists (6.60 a/s), 23 digs (2.30 d/s), 16.5 points, four total blocks (three solo), and five service aces over three games against non-conference opponents, earning her a spot on the Dearing Classic All-Tournament Team. Assisted a career-high 22 times (5.50 a/s) with 11 digs and three solo blocks against Keene St. (8/29). Broke her career-best assists for a game with 32 (10.67 a/s) the following game, a 3-0 sweep over Westfield St. (8/30).
Greta Mackintosh, Saint Joseph's (Maine) - Averaged 3.00 kills per set while hitting .311 in a 2-1 week for the Monks. On Friday, she posted 10 kills with a .474 attack rate in a 3-0 win over Southern Maine and, on Saturday, added nine kills and a .444 percentage against Maine Maritime and closed with 11 kills, 12 digs, and two block assists in a 3-1 victory over the University of New England.
Hannah Pridgeon, Simmons - Had a double double in both matches this weekend with a 16 kill and 16 dig performance against Emerson and 12 kills and 11 digs against Endicott.
