Player Of The Week
Andrea Aceituno, Lasell (Sr.)
Senior Andrea Aceituno powered Lasell to a perfect 3-0 week with a stellar all-around performance. Aceituno totaled 36 kills, added 34 digs (2.83/set), and held a strong .953 reception percentage on 64 attempts. Aceituno collected a double-double in a 3-0 sweep over WPI, registering 15 kills and 13 digs and followed up with another one in a thrilling five-set win over Plymouth State with 14 kills and 11 digs, showcasing her impact on both offensive and defense.
Libero Of The Week
Julia Lent, Mitchell (Sr.)
Senior Julia Lent was a defensive force in a perfect 3-0 week for Mitchell. Lent totaled 60 digs, averaging 5.00 digs per set, while adding to the Mariner's offense with 23 assists, averaging 1.92 assists per set, and 7 services aces, while posting an impressive .920 reception percentage on 82 attempts. Her standout performances came in a five-set victory over Mt. St. Vincent where Lent notched a 24 dig, 11 assist double-double and followed in a four-set win over Mass. Maritime with 21 digs, 10 assists, and an ace to anchor the back row.
Setter Of The Week
Sydney Katz, Lasell (Sr.)
Senior Sydney Katz was a driving force behind Lasell's perfect 3-0 week, finishing with an impressive total of 113 assists, averaging 9.42 assists per set. In addition to her setting duties, Katz added seven service aces, consistently putting pressure on opponents with her serving. She earned two double-doubles during the stretch, first against Wheaton with 41 assists and 11 digs, showcasing her all-around game, and then against WPI where she recorded 29 assists and 10 digs. Katz’s combination of precise setting, strong defense, and serving made her a key contributor to Lasell’s success throughout the week.
Rookie Of The Week
Cimber Jenkins, Mitchell (Fr.)
Freshman Cimber Jenkins was instrumental in Mitchell’s 3-0 week. She tallied 31 kills, averaging 2.58 per set, with an impressive .418 hitting percentage. Jenkins contributed 35 assists (2.92 per set), 20 digs, and eight service aces as well. She set the pace in Mitchell’s conference victory over Norwich with seven kills, seven assists, and two aces. Jenkins then delivered back-to-back 12-kill games against Mount Saint Vincent and Mass. Maritime, hitting over .450 in both matches. She also recorded a season-high 15 assists and added 11 digs in the win over Mass. Maritime.
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Kason Huynh, Emmanuel (Mass.) - Had 108 assists (9.00 a/s) and 31 digs and six service aces.
Sofia Petrucci, Emmanuel (Mass.) - Had 71 reception attempts, averaging a .873 reception percentage with 32 digs.
Kristina Cardello, New England College - Led the team with 16 digs in a three-set sweep of Husson on Friday in the team's first win of the season.
Letitia Bossou, Emmanuel (Mass.)- Had 36 kills in 3 matches, averaging a .293 hitting percentage
Bree Bacon, Colby-Sawyer- Over four matches last week, totaling 56 assists, including 21 in the contest against UMass Dartmouth at the Johns Hopkins Tournament. She also added 10 service aces across the week and was named to the All-Tournament Team for her performance.
Lily Seibel, Rivier - Totaled 89 assists (6.85 a/s) and 37 digs (2.85 d/s) in a three game non-conference week, Tied her career assists (32) in a five set thriller against WestConn. Recorded 28 assists (9.33 a/s), 12 digs (4.00 d/s), and four service aces in 3-0 sweep over Clark.
Jaylen Holman, Elms- Had two double-doubles against Framingham State with 37 assists and 13 digs and against Fisher with 32 assists and 15 digs. Totaled with 94 assists (8.55 a/s) and 33 digs (3.00 d/s).
Madeline Caro, Lasell - Had 75 reception attempts, avergaing a .867 reception percentage and 56 digs (4.67 d/s). Also contributed with 12 assists.
