WXC: Saints Back On Top, Claim First Women's Cross Country Title Since 2018
Northfield, Vt. - Emmanuel College captured the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Cross Country Championship, marking their first conference title since 2018. The Saints collected 55 points in a competitive race at Norwich University as Colby-Sawyer (59 points) was this year's runner-up. Saint Joseph's (Maine) finished third and broke a head-to-head individual tie with Norwich (fourth) as both notched 68 points. Simmons came in fifth with 125 while New England College (172) and Regis (200) finished sixth and seventh, respectively. Dean and Mitchell rounded out the eight and nine spots while Lasell and Elms both had runners compete on the course as well.
The top-14 finishers of the meet were named to the GNAC All-Conference teams with the top seven earning First-Team honors and 8-14 earning Second-Team honors. The top finisher of the meet was named the Runner of the Year while the top-finishing rookie was named the Rookie of the Year. This year's Runner of the Year went to Colby-Sawyer's Adriana Nadeau, who ran a 24:05.4 in the 6k event. Meanwhile, SJC freshman Amber Pendleton collected Rookie of the Year honors with a time of 24:53.5. Emmanuel's Dion Gardner-Crichlow was voted Coach of the Year by her peers while her team earned the Institutional Sportsmanship award. The full list of all-conference honorees are below.
