FIELD HOCKEY: Dean Wins First-Ever GNAC Championship; Will Make First-Ever NCAA Appearance
Franklin, Mass. - For the first time in the program's history, Dean claimed the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Field Hockey Championship, which also marked the school's first team to win a GNAC Championship.
The Bulldogs defeated No. 3 seed Colby-Sawyer College earlier today in a 3-1 win as three different Bulldogs found the back of the net throughout the contest.
Dean improved to 16-7 overall on the season and earned the league's automatic qualifier into the 2025 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship. Colby-Sawyer concludes its season at 12-7 overall.
The Bulldogs will learn their destination during the NCAA Selection Show tomorrow night, November 9, at 9:00 p.m. on www.NCAA.com.
12 members were named to the All-Tournament Team with two members from each semifinalist, three from the runner-up, and four members including the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Full list below:
