MEN'S ATHLETE / ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Ben Stark, Norwich (So., Montverde, Fla.) - Last week, Stark won the men's 200-yard freestyle in 1:49.39 at Thursday's home dual meet against Saint Michael's. He also won the men's 100-yard butterfly in 55.56 and the men's 500-yard freestyle in 4:56.36. He also swam the first leg on the winning men's 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:32.19). His efforts helped the Cadets top the Purple Knights 172-124. At Colby-Sawyer on Saturday 1/15, Stark won the men's 100-yard backstroke in 58.85. Stark also won the men's 200-yard butterfly in 2:06.58 and the men's 200-yard IM in 2:02.56 as the Cadet men picked up a win. |

WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Kelsey Brown, Colby-Sawyer (Sr., Douglas, Mass.) - Brown went 3 for 3 on her individual events for the last time in the Knight Natatorium with victories coming in the 100 Breast (1:03.26), the 200 Back (2:16.85), and the 100 Fly (1:00.93). Brown also collected a win in the 400 Medley Relay along with fellow teammates juniors Mary Steward (Saco, Maine), Nina Boudreau (Hallowell, Maine), and sister Alyssa Brown (Douglas Mass.). |

WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Hailey Stuck, Simmons (Fr., West Springfield, Mass.) - Stuck registered a pair of personal-best times in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle at the Seven Sisters Invitational. In the 50 free, Stuck touched the wall with a time of 26.32 to place fifth, while following up in the 100 free the next day posting a time of 58.87 to place eighth. Additionally, she was part of the 400-yard free relay to placed third with a tiem of 3:58.18. |
HONOR ROLL
Nikky Ansley, Norwich (Jr., Owens Cross Roads, Ala.) - Ansley won the women's 50-yard freestyle in 25.34 and the women's 100-yard freestyle in 56.53 at Thursday's home dual meet against Saint Michael's. She also took first place in the women's 50-yard butterfly with a time of 27.26 as the NU women fell 146-116 to SMC. At Colby-Sawyer on 1/15, Ansley finished first in the women's 200-yard freestyle, posting a time of 2:05.26. Ansley also won the women's 50-yard freestyle in 25.66 and took second in the women's 100-yard butterfly in 1:03.27. She also swam the third leg of the second-place women's 400-yard medley relay team (4:26.73) as the Cadets took a thrilling 132-130 win.
Eva Piernas, Simmons (Hopkinton, N.H.) - Piernas finished first in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the Seven Sisters meet, touching the wall with a time of 19:22.39 - eight seconds ahead of Mount Holyoke's Eliza Williams. Additionally, Piernas finished third in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking a time of 5:38.2.
