USJ freshman David Kavanaugh took first-place honors at the Blue Jay 5K invitational for a personal best time on Saturday.

MEN'S RUNNER / ROOKIE OF THE WEEK David Kavanaugh, Saint Joseph (CT) (Fr., West Hartford, Conn.) Kavanaugh won his second meet of the season this week in the annual Blue Jay 5K Invitational, claiming a personal best in a 5K with a time of 16:25 (5:18 Mile Pace), 46 seconds in front of the second-place runner, his teammate, sophomore captain Eric Knox (Bristol, Conn.). The Blue Jays dominated the race and the overall, winning their first meet in the history of the USJ men's cross country team. |

WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK For the second consecutive week, Molinari took too honors finishing in first place at the Travis J Fuller Invitational hosted by Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Her time of 19:31.52 was nearly 20 seconds ahead of the next finisher. |

WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Morgan Hall, University of Saint Joseph (Fr., Norfolk, Conn.) Hall won her first career meet Saturday in the annual Blue Jay 5K invitational, and she did it in dominant fashion, claiming a 5K personal best with a time of 22 minutes 36 seconds (7:18 Mile Pace), nearly two minutes ahead of second place. She led the Blue Jays to the overall victory as well, a clean sweep for the Blue Jays in cross country on the weekend. |
