MEN'S RUNNER / ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Patrick Hill, Emmanuel (Fy., Barrington, N.H.) - Hill turned in a season-best performance at the 9th Annual Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup, running the men's 8k in 26:50.2 for 10th place. He finished second among D-III racers, running mile splits of 5:23 on the day. |

WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK Ashleigh Kelley, Regis (Sr., Stoneham, Mass.) - Kelley set the Regis women's program record for fastest 5K time Saturday at the Bruce Kirsh Cup. She finished second overall and first among competitors from Division III schools with a time of 18:34.0, 27 seconds faster than the previous record set by Maggie Mann two years ago almost to the day (Oct. 5, 2019). It was also 43.5 seconds quicker than her previous collegiate 5K best posted at the Wellesley Invitational earlier this season. |

WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Julia Gorby, Norwich (Fr., Boardman, Ohio) - Gorby led the NU women's team with a 15th place finish and a time of 19:54.74 on the 5k course at Saturday's Bruce Kirsh Cup, hosted by Franklin Pierce University. |
HONOR ROLL
Dylan Flewelling , Colby-Sawyer (FR, Oakland, Maine) - Flewelling ran a 26:31.1 at the Keene State Invitational.
Shannon O'Connell, Colby-Sawyer (Jr., Peabody, Mass. ) - Ran a 20:19.8 for 13th place at the Keene State Invitational.
Colby Makin, Norwich (So., Westerly, R.I.) - At Saturday's Bruce Kirsh Cup, hosted by Franklin Pierce University, the Cadets were led by sophomore Colby Makin, who finished the 8k course in 27:33.51 and took 20th place overall. His finish helped the NU men secure fourth place out of nine teams with 124 points.
Benjamin Happenny, Regis (Fy., Woonsocket, R.I.) - Happenny once again was the Pride's top finisher, earning a top-25 placement at the Bruce Kirsh Cup hosted by Franklin Pierce University. Among runners from Division III schools, he finished seventh in the event. Happenny posted an eight-kilometer time of 28:17.2, over a minute-and-a-half faster than the time he ran just one week previous at Elms College.
Troy Hendricks, Saint Joseph's of Maine (Senior, Hiram, Maine) - Hendricks paced the Monks with a 28:16.5 time and finished 48th overall in the 2021 Maine State Championship, which was held at a very challenging Pineland Farms course.
