Lasell's Kevin Vanderhorst is being investigated for his recent rebounding spree, as the Lasers grad student has averaged 19.5 boards over his last four games.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Kevin Vanderhorst, Lasell (Gr., Forward - Lawrence, Mass.) - In a 2-1 week by the Lasers, Vanderhorst averaged 15.3 points and 17.0 rebounds while shooting 52.8% (19-36 FG, 2-8 3PT, 6-9 FT) from the floor and double-doubling in each contest. Vanderhorst scored a season-high 25 points (11-17 FG) to go with 15 boards in a win over Dean on Friday, and his 26 rebounds against Elms on Monday were the second most in a single game in program history, just one short of his own mark set on January 22. Factoring in those 27 boards against Colby-Sawyer on Jan. 22, the grad student is averaging an incredible 19.5 rebounds over his last four. He also had an 11-point, 10-rebound effort in a 72-68 setback versus Regis last Wednesday.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Donte Pope, Emmanuel (Mass.) (So, G - Middletown, Conn.) - In the Saints' lone game of the week – an 81-72 victory at Rivier – Pope filled up the stat sheet with 20 points (7-13 FG, 1-5 3PT, 5-8 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists and two steals in just 25 minutes of action to collect his fifth GNAC Rookie of the Week award for Emmanuel.

HONOR ROLL
Terry Dawkins, Albertus Magnus (Sr., F - Bronx, N.Y.) - Dawkins paced the Falcons last week, averaging a double-double on 15.0 points and 10.5 rebounds over the team's two games. He kicked off the week with 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting from the field with eight rebounds against Connecticut College on Monday. Dawkins then posted a 16-point, 13-rebound double-double in the Falcons' next game, leading AMC to a comfortable 89-57 triumph over Dean.
Gabe Armstead, Anna Maria (So., F - Dallas, Ga.) - Armstead had another superb stretch in a 2-1 week, averaging 14.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.7 blocks while shooting 48.7% (19-39 FG). During Monday's 80-61 win against Dean, Armstead shot an incredible 77.8% (7-9 FG) for 16 points, nine boards and six blocks in just 22 minutes of action. Then on Wednesday at Norwich, the first-year forward had 14 points matched a career-high with 13 boards as Anna Maria pulled away down the stretch for a 76-69 victory. Finally on Sunday, Armstead kept the AMCATS in the game against the Chargers, coming up one board short of a double-double with 14 points, nine rebounds and two blocks. At press time, Armstead leads the GNAC in total blocks and blocks per game.
Omar Boone, Colby-Sawyer (Jr, F - Colorado City, Texas) - Boone had a big week for the Chargers off the bench, leading the team to a big comeback victory on Sunday at Anna Maria. Boone started the week with a 19-point performance against Saint Joseph's of Maine, followed by a career-high 26 points and 12 rebound performance in the win over the AMCATS. Overall he averaged 22.5 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting 60.6% (20-33) from the field.
Donovan Lewis Jr., Norwich (Sr., F - Savannah, Ga.) - Lewis Jr. scored 27 points while shooting 84.6% (11-13 FG, 5-9 FT) from the field to go with nine rebounds in the Cadets' lone game for the Cadets – a 76-69 setback against Anna Maria.
Russell Rau, Regis (Mass.) (Fy., F - Fitchburg, Mass.) - Rau once again helped contribute to Regis's success as the Pride went 2-1, notching his third double-double of the season Monday with 13 points and 13 rebounds against Rivier, plus he collected two assists, two steals, and three blocks. In Wednesday's victory at Lasell, he finished with eight points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Sunday night, he led the Pride with 10 rebounds against #9 USJ.
Marc Trinidad, Regis (Mass.) (Sr., F - Bronx, N.Y.) - Trinidad led Regis to a 2-1 week behind 19.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Last Monday against Rivier, he scored 20 first-half points on his way to a 24-point performance, shooting 11-for-18 from the field. On Wednesday at Lasell, he notched his 16th career double-double, shooting 10-for-15 from the field for 22 points and 10 rebounds in the Pride's victory over the Lasers. He also led the Pride in scoring Sunday against #9 USJ with 11 points, plus he pulled down seven rebounds.
Ryan O'Neill, St. Joseph (Conn.) (Sr., G - Litchfield, Conn.) - O'Neill averaged 15.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in yet another 3-0 week for No. 9 rationally-ranked USJ, which is now the only undefeated Division III team in the country at 16-0 overall (11-0 GNAC). He had 19 points in a 70-57 win at JWU before producing 14 points both at Elms and at Regis, two games in which the Blue Jays won by an average of 30.5 points per contest.
Drew Shea, Saint Joseph's (Maine) (Junior, F - Mount Desert Island, Maine) - Shea registered an impressive double-double with 18 points and 17 rebounds in a 94-90 overtime victory at Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday evening. The junior forward shot 64.3% (9-14) from the field and added three assists, two steals, and a pair of blocked shots in the GNAC triumph.
