GNAC Cross Country Report: Week 9
Suffolk's Matyas Csiki-Fejer and Emily Manfra were the top GNAC finishers at the NCAA Regional races held at Bowdoin this past Saturday en route to weekly honors.

MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK Matyas Csiki-Fejer, Suffolk (So., Manchester, Mo.) Csiki-Fejer led all GNAC runners with a 19th-place finish in the men's 8K at the NCAA Regionals at Bowdoin on Saturday. The GNAC Runner of the Year ran a time of 25:29.5 for a 5:07.7 average mile and has been selected to the NCAA Championships on Saturday, November 23 in Louisville, Ky. |

WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK Manfra led all GNAC runners by finishing 14th overall with a time of 21:57.3 at the NCAA Regionals over the weekend. The 6K time was good for a 5:53.3 average mile as she soon looks to complete her storied cross country career at the NCAA Championships, as she was selected to the at-large individual field. |

MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Kavanaugh led the Blue Jays as the first GNAC rookie to cross the finish in the men's 8K, finishing in 168th place with a time of 27:49.3. |

WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Shannon O'Connell, Colby-Sawyer (Fy., Peabody, Mass.) O'Connell set a 6K program record with a time of 22:45.48 to lead the Chargers women at Saturday's NCAA Regional hosted by Bowdoin. She broke the previous record of 23:03.92 set by Kylee Parker '17 at the 2016 NCAA Regional held at Westfield State. In addition to the school record, O'Connell posted the program's best individual finish as she placed 50th out of 388 runners. O'Connell now owns both program records (5k + 6k). Colby-Sawyer came away with its best team finish in program history. The team compiled a program best 753 points to place 24th out of 54. |
