GOLFER OF THE WEEK Mac Patch, Johnson & Wales (RI) (Sr., St. Simons Island, Ga.) Patch earned co-medalist honors at the 60-player field Farmingdale State College Fall Invitational, posting a two-day total of 143 to guide Johnson & Wales to third place, the highest of any New England School. On the first day of the tournament held at Bethpage, Patch turned in the lowest score of the tournament, carding a one-under 69. |

CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Alexander le Gassick, UMass Dartmouth (Fr., Mattapoisett, Mass.) Finished in a tie for seventh place individually in a field of 60 competitors for the Corsairs at the Farmingdale State Invitational, posting two-day score of 75-74--149 (+9) on par 70 layout of Bethpage State Park-Red Course. |
WEEK 4 HONOR ROLL
Ryan Sember, Albertus Magnus (Jr., Branford, Conn.) - Sember continued the impressive start to his Albertus Magnus career this past week, placing first and second in a pair of home dual matches. The junior began his week by guiding the Falcons to a playoff against Mitchell on Wednesday with a score of 76 at the New Haven Country Club. He then carded a 74 on Friday to take medalist honors and to lead Albertus to a win over Dean and Eastern Nazarene. Sember's score of 74 stands as a new program record.
Tyler Boisclair, Rhode Island College (Sr., West Warwick, RI) - Finished tied for the 11th with a two-day score of 152 (77, 75) at the 2019 FSC Invitational, hosted by Farmingdale University at the Bethpage State Park Red Course on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. RIC finished ninth (12 teams) with a team score of 633.
Greg Kalagias, Southern Maine (Sr., Saco, Maine) - Kalagias led USM to two first-place finishes last week. The senior was the low medalist at the UNE Invitational carding a 3-over par 72 at Cape Arundel GC to win the event by 13 strokes. At the USM Cup, a unique event where pairs of golfers play three different formats (six holes of best ball, six holes of scramble, and six holes of alternate shot), Kalagias teamed with senior Ryan Dee to win the event for the second straight year as the duo combined for a 4-under par 67 at the Gorham CC. Led by Kalagias and Dee, the Huskies three groups combined for a score of 204, one shot off the event record.
