Mount Ida College head men's lacrosse coach Andrew Fink and associate head coach Christopher Widelo will be heading into their fourth year as speakers at the U.S. Lacrosse National Convention, presented by Champion.
Mount Ida College men’s lacrosse senior’s Billy Eagan (North Andover, MA/North Andover) and Matthew Savage (Peabody, MA/Peabody) were selected to play in the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association’s (NEILA) annual East/West game this past Sunday at Endicott College.
(New Haven, CT) – The Albertus Magnus College Athletic Department and STX have announced a three-year sponsorship agreement that will outfit the Albertus men’s and women’s lacrosse programs exclusively with inventory from the world’s leading manufacturer of lacrosse equipment. The agreement was signed today, and announced by Director of Athletics Michael Spinner.

Saturday, April 30, 2011 (Newton, Massachusetts) – The Mount Ida College men’s lacrosse program (11-7, 7-0 GNAC) scored six unanswered goals through the first quarter and a half of play en route to their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship over visiting Lasell College (9-8, 6-1 GNAC) winning 9-6 Saturday afternoon in Newton, Massachusetts. The Mustangs are the first program at the College to capture a GNAC title since the school joined the conference four years ago adding to their previous six league titles as a member of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) from 2004-2009.
NEWTON, MA- Lasell College will play in the inaugural Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men’s lacrosse tournament championship on Saturday after defeating Norwich University, 13-9, in the semi-final round today on Grellier Field. The second seeded Lasers will clash against regular season champion, and number one seeded Mount Ida College in the final on the Mustangs home field. No. 3 seeded Norwich completes their journey in GNAC post-season play with an 8-5 overall record.
Thursday, April 28, 2011 (Newton, Massachusetts) – Mount Ida College senior attacker Matthew Savage (Peabody, MA/Peabody) notched a game high three goals tallying his 200th career point in the process en route to a 13-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) shutout victory over visiting fourth seeded St. Joseph’s College (ME) in semifinal action of the GNAC post-season tournament Thursday afternoon in Newton, Massachusetts.
The 2011 GNAC Men’s Lacrosse Playoff pairings are now available. For the GNAC inaugural season of men’s lacrosse, Mount Ida College (7-0, 9-7) is crowned the first regular season champions. The Mustangs played an incredible regular season, going undefeated in conference play and earning a clutch victory over conference rival Lasell College in order to clinch the top ranking.

Wednesday, April 20, 2011 (Newton, Massachusetts) – With two and a half minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Mount Ida College men’s lacrosse junior attacker Zach Jacobson (Shoreview, MN/Moundsview) split two defenders behind the net and converted a one-on-one with the goaltender to give the Mustangs a 7-6 lead that would eventually become their sixth Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory to remain undefeated in league play against visiting rival Lasell Colllege Wednesday afternoon in Newton, Massachusetts.
