GNAC Women's Basketball Report: Week 7
USJ's Jordan Oullette averaged 20.5 points and 9.0 rebounds to take home GNAC Player and Rookie of the Week accolades.

PLAYER / ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Jordan Ouellette, St. Joseph (Conn.) (So., G/F - Bristol, Conn.) - Ouellette kicked of 2022 by averaging 20.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in a two-game week, while shooting 56.3% (18-32 FG). She opened the week with 20 points (9-15 FG) and five rebounds on Tuesday in a setback on the road at GNAC powerhouse Saint Joseph's (Maine) before following up with a monster 21-point (9-17 FG), 13-rebound double-double at home on Saturday where the Blue Jays were edged in the final seconds, 71-70, by Rivier. Ouellette has now scored 20-plus points in five of her last six outings and leads the Blue Jays on the season averaging 15.9 points per game. She also currently leads the GNAC in field-goal percentage, shooting it at a 56.2% clip through 11 games.

HONOR ROLL
Gabby Lucertini, Colby-Sawyer (Fr, G - Branford, Conn.) - Lucertini had 21 points, six rebounds and six assists in a 73-62 GNAC victory over Johnson & Wales on Thursday. The rookie's career-high in points came on 6-of-10 shooting, plus an 8-of-11 effort from the FT line.
Jamad Fiin, Emmanuel (Mass.) (GR, G - Boston, Mass.) - Fiin averaged 14.0 points in a 2-0 week for the Saints, including both a game- and season-high 18 points (7-17 FG, 3-8 3PT, 1-3 FT) in Emmanuel's 61-53 victory over GNAC foe Saint Joseph's College (Maine) in a key conference showdown. The graduate student opened the week with 10 points in just 14 minutes in a blowout win over Lasell, going 2-for-3 from downtown. On the week she shot 45.5% from three, 44.0% from the floor while adding five steals, four rebounds and three assists.
Hannah Stitely, Norwich (Sr., G - Westminster, Md.) - Stitely was effective in the lone game of the week for the Cadets, shooting 85.7% (6-7 FG) from the floor for 14 points to go with three assists in the contest against Lasell.
Alexa Dufries, Rivier (Fr., F - Leicester, Mass.) - Dufries averaged 20.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week, highlighted by a 23-point, seven-rebound performance in a 71-70 GNAC road win over USJ on Saturday.
