Christine Cote (Women's Swimming, Saint Joseph's Maine) and Jefferson Lora (Men's Basketball, Albertus Magnus) have been named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookies of the Week

Jefferson Lora, Albertus Magnus, Freshman, Bronx, N.Y

This week the 6'8'' freshman was an impressive inside force playing forward and center for the Falcons in a 2-1 week. Jefferson totaled 34 points with 17 rebounds, and 6 blocks in their 88-79 GNAC win over Mount Ida College. The Bronx, NY native is averaging over 20 points a game, 9.67 rebounds, and 1.67 assists.

 Christine Cote, Saint Joseph's (ME), Freshman, Biddeford, ME 

Cote lead Saint Joseph's Maine in a GNAC victory over Husson College on January 16th. Cote earned a pair of top place finishes and a runner-up effort on the day. Also the freshman took first at the 50-Free with a time of 28.32 and the 200-Free with a time of 2:16.72. Cote completed the day with another placed finish of second in the 500-free (6:22.07).
