GNAC Men's Basketball Weekly Honors: January 10, 2011

Ray Askew (Albertus Magnus) and Darius Watson (Albertus Magnus) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference weekly honors.

Player of the Week

Ray Askew, Albertus Magnus, Jr., New Haven, CT

Albertus’ Ray Askew continues to lead the Falcons in nearly every category and led the Falcons to a 1-1 record last week. Askew scored a game high 28 points and had a game high 11 rebounds in a convincing win over conference foe, Norwich University.

Rookie of the Week

Darius Watson, Albertus Magnus, Fr., New Britain, CT

The Falcons’ Darius Watson once again has been named rookie of the week for the third consecutive week this season. Watson continues to play well in his first season creating major match problems with his size and long range shooting ability. He helped the Falcons to a 1-1 week including a conference victory.
