First Team All-Conference

Player of the Year- Christine Daniels, Norwich, SR, (Concord, NH)
Forward

The senior forward from Norwich has started all 25 games this season and also boasts as the leading scorer and rebounder among all of the GNAC women’s basketball players. Daniels completed her season as the fifth leading rebounder in all of the NCAA Division III women’s basketball and has also set the conference record for total rebounds and rebounds per game. More notably, Daniels has recorded a double-double in all of the 25 games she played in for Norwich in the 2010-2011 season. Daniels has been honored four times as the GNAC Player of the Week.

 

 

Kathy Andrade, Emerson, SR, (Hull, MA)
Forward

Kathy Andrade started in all of the 2010-2011 season’s games in which she managed a double-double in nine games. The two-time GNAC Player of the Week was also honored twice on NEWBA’s Weekly Honor Roll. Andrade is currently ranked fifth in rebounds and fifth in field goal percentage and 14th overall in scoring. Moreover, Andrade is the second leading scorer and rebounder in the history of Women’s Basketball at Emerson College.

 

 

 

 

 

Meghan Kirwan, Emmanuel, JR, (Melrose, MA)
Guard

Meghan Kirwan of Emmanuel College leads her school and is eighth in the GNAC in scoring. The versatile guard has been named GNAC Player of the Week twice and also made the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll. One of Kirwan’s most impressive achievements is when set the current GNAC record for single game field goals made when she was perfect making 10 of 10 attempts.

 

 

 

 

Karissa Doyon, Norwich, SR, (Beecher Falls, VT)
Guard

Karissa Doyon is the second-leading scorer in all of the GNAC (overall and in conference play). The guard has scored in the double digits in 19 of the 22 games she played this season. Doyon currently ranks second in free-throw percentage, fourth in steals and has also been named as the GNAC Player of the Week.

 

 

 

 

Olivia DiNucci, Emerson, SO, (Pittsburgh, PA)
Forward

Olivia DiNucci is the only sophomore to be named to the All-Conference team for the 2011 season. DiNucci led the conference in three-pointers making 75 of 185 attempted. She holds the top ranking for three-point shots made per game and second in three-point field goal percentage. DiNucci also scored in the double-digit in all but one GNAC game.

 

 

 

Defensive Player of the Year- Therline Dumeran, Pine Manor, JR., (Cambridge, MA)

Guard/Forward       

Pine Manor’s Therline Dumeran established herself as the GNAC Defensive Player of the Year and a spot on the GNAC second team All-Conference. Dumeran led the league in steals and blocked shots, while also averaging a double-double on the season at 14.2 points per game and 12.7 rebounds per game. The junior from Cambridge, MA also made herself known on the national level when she was one of only 18 players to record a triple-double this season.

 

 

 

 

Rookie of the Year- Devon Diliberto, St. Joseph CT, FR., (Waterbury, CT)

Guard

Devon Diliberto of St. Joseph College has been named the 2011 GNAC Rookie of the Year and is the only freshman named to the GNAC second team all-conference. Diliberto ranks third in the GNAC in scoring averaging 15.7 points per game and third in three- pointers (57), where she broke a St. Joseph school record. Additionally, the rookie has been named GNAC Rookie of the Week three times this season and was honored to the SJC Tip-Off All-Tournament team.
