GNAC Weekly Honors for March 30, 2009
Suffolk senior Keith Carter was selected as the GNAC Baseball Player of the Week, Saint Joseph's (ME) freshmen Daniel Achorn was named GNAC Baseball Rookie of the Week, and Suffolk senior Reid Jackson received GNAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors.

Player of the Week
Keith Carter Suffolk
Newburyport, MA SR
Senior Keith Carter hit .563 on the week. Carter was 3-4 and
scored 3 times in Thursday's 6-2 win over Bridgewater St. Carter
was also 5-5 and scored 6 times, knocking in 4 runs with 2 doubles
and a triple in a game 1 victory over Rivier on Saturday.
Rookie of the Week
Daniel Achorn Saint Joseph's (ME) Bow,
NH FR
Achorn batted .467 (7-15) with four runs, five RBI's and two
doubles in a 3-1 weekend for the Monks. In a twin bill with JWU on
March 29th, the freshman shortstop was 4-8 with four runs scored
and a pair of RBI's and made a handful of exceptional defensive
plays.
Pitcher of the Week
Reid Jackson Suffolk Burlington,
MA SR
Senior Reid Jackson threw a complete game 6 hitter to lead the
Rams to a 2-1 victory over Babson College on Tuesday. Jackson
cruised in the later innings only allowing two hits in his final 7
innings of work to pick up his second win on the year.
