NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Sophomore Cat Amick was named the 2013 ECAC Women’s Soccer New England Tournament Most Outstanding Player as her Wheaton College Lyons edged the Albertus Magnus women’s soccer team 1-0 in the Sunday afternoon Championship game.
NEW HAVEN, Conn - Danielle Polvan (East Haven, Conn.) finished on a loose ball in the box, scoring the game-winning goal in the 91st minute to give the Albertus Magnus women’s soccer team a 2-1 overtime victory over top-seeded Roger Williams University on Saturday afternoon in the ECAC Tournament semifinal round.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - For the first time in school history, Albertus Magnus College will play host to the Women’s Soccer Division III ECAC New England Tournament. The ECAC Tournament event kicks off on Saturday morning when the fifth-seeded Falcons take on top-seeded Roger Williams University in an 11:00 a.m. contest. No. 3 Wheaton College (Mass.) and No. 7 Castleton State will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Albertus Magnus College’s Celentano Field.

NEWTON, Mass. – The Lasell College women’s soccer team captured their fourth consecutive GNAC championship with a 6-1 victory over Suffolk University on Saturday afternoon at Taylor Field. The Lasers set a new program record with their 17th victory of the season as they improved their record to 17-3-1 with the victory while Suffolk slipped to 7-12-1 on the year.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Albertus Magnus College Director of Athletics Jim Abromaitis, in conjunction with Vice President for Academic Affairs Sean O'Connell, has announced that the Falcons' women's soccer program has been named the winning team of the annual Sister Marie Brantl, O.P. Award. The annual award goes to the team with the highest cumulative grade point average (GPA) from the previous academic year.
BOSTON, Mass. – The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced that three Great Northeast Athletic Conference student-athletes earned Weekly Honors for their athletic accomplishments last week. Saint Joseph’s College senior forward Kyle Shangraw (Westbrook, Maine) was named the Men’s Soccer Offensive Co-Player of the Week, Suffolk University senior forward Taylor Miranda (Smithtown, N.Y.) was named the Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Albertus Magnus sophomore goalkeeper Maria Case (West Haven, Conn.) was named the Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
