CENTERVILLE, Mass.—The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) on Wednesday announced its Division III Softball New England All-Star Team. The Great Northeast Athletic Conference was well-represented including Annie Thompson of Simmons College receiving the honor of the ECAC Player of the Year.
The Great Northeast Atlantic Conference is pleased to announce the addition of four new specialists and the return of two. These specialists include Erin Doherty, Garrett Quinn, Kristin LeBel, Alex Comeau, Laura Schwenk, and Catherine Carmignani. Each specialist holds a unique set of skills and attributes that will help the GNAC thrive for this upcoming year.
Indianapolis, Indiana - Commissioner Joe Walsh, Sports Information Director Tom Humphreys, and Assistant Sports Information Director Garrett Quinn attended the Division III Commissioners Association Meeting held June 15th through June 17th in Indianapolis. Over 100 members of Division III schools across the country attended the three-day event.

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's College senior infielder Chris Campbell (Rochester, NH/Spaulding) has received Capital One Baseball All-Academic District 1 honors.
Emily Hummel (St. Joseph CT) Maddie Kluna (St. Joseph’s ME) have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Softball Weekly Honors.

WENHAM, MA – Sophomore third baseman Heather Tripp (Lovell, ME) slammed a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to put #2 Saint Joseph’s (34-8, 21-3 GNAC) ahead to stay in a 5-4 win over #5 Rivier College (26-14, 14-10 GNAC) in the 2011 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship game on Sunday afternoon at Gordon College.
