GNAC Women's Basketball Report: Week 10
Regis' Pam Gonzalez averaged 22.3 points and 10.3 rebounds en route to her first GNAC Player of the Week award of the 2021-22 season for the Pride.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Pam Gonzalez, Regis (Mass.) (Jr., G - Revere, Mass.) - Gonzalez led Regis to a 2-1 week, averaging 22.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.3 steals while shooing 49% overall (25-51) and 55% from three (11-20). On Monday night at GNAC-leading Emmanuel, she played all 40 minutes, notching her seventh double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds to go along with four steals and two blocks. She followed up Wednesday night at Lasell by hitting six three-pointers in the first half on the way to her 15th career double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds. She wrapped up the week on Friday with 28 points (11-20 FG), nine rebounds, three assists, and four steals in Regis's victory over USJ. Gonzalez is now in the top-10 in the GNAC in scoring (6th - 15.8 ppg), FG percentage (7th - 46.6%), 3PT FG percentage (5th - 38.1%), rebounding (6th - 9.1 rpg), and blocked shots (T8th - 0.9 bpg).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Haley Brewster, Norwich (Fr., G - Virginia Beach, Va.) - Brewster was the driving force in a 3-0 week for the Cadets, averaging 21.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 50% from the field (21-42), 44% from three (11-25) and 83.3% from the FT line (10-12). She registered a pair of double-doubles, delivering 26 points with 11 boards in a 64-61 win over Anna Maria, and had 22 points and 10 rebounds in an 83-73 road victory over Rivier.

HONOR ROLL
Jakara Murray-Leach, Albertus Magnus (Fr., G/F - Norwalk, Conn.) - Murray-Leach continued her stellar rookie season, averaging 16.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.0 steals in two Falcon wins last week. She began her week with 13 points, three boards and a season-high five assists in a 71-61 win over Elms on Monday. Murray-Leach then added 19 points and four steals to her total on Wednesday in the team's dominant victory over Dean at home.
Marinique Reddin, Anna Maria (Fr., F - Tampa, Fla.) - Reddin continued to power the AMCATS despite a tough three-loss week, as the first-year forward averaged 16.7 points and 8.0 rebounds while shooting 50% (20-40) from the field.
Marissa Holt, Colby-Sawyer (Fr, G - Alfred, Maine) - Holt led the Chargers in a big win at Anna Maria on Sunday. Holt logged a game-high 37 minutes while scoring 17 points, collecting nine rebounds and dishing four assists.
Angelica Peguero-Flores, Elms (Grad, F) - In Elms' lone game of week – a 71-61 setback on the road against Albertus Magnus – the grad student filled it up with 23 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks.
Jamad Fiin, Emmanuel (Mass.) (GR, G - Boston, Mass.) - Fiin averaged 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 4.0 steals while shooting 66.7% (10-15) in another unbeaten week for the Saints, who went 2-0 to improve to 15-1 overall and 10-0 in GNAC play. Her top performance came last Monday versus Regis, registering 17 points (7-9 FG, 3-5 3PT) with six boards and six steals in 29 minutes.
Peyton Oliver, Johnson & Wales (RI) (So., C - Ramsey, N.J.) - In her one game last week, Oliver totaled 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field to go with five rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in 34 minutes of play.
Juju Nealy, Lasell (Freshman, Guard - Fitchburg, Mass.) - Nealy tied a career-high with 21 points on Wednesday and her 10 made free-throws last Monday were tied for seventh most in a single game in program history. The first-year averaged 17.7 points and 3.0 steals in a 1-2 week for the Lasers.
Lyric Grumblatt, Rivier (So., G - Manchester, N.H.) - The first-year averaged 26.0 points 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in a pair of league setbacks against Emmanuel and Norwich this past week. She shot 45% (18-40) from the floor and 40% from three (10-25), registering 28 points and seven boards against the Saints before totaling 24 points and eight rebounds versus the Cadets. She played all 80 possible minutes on the week as well.
Amanda Fudge, St. Joseph (Conn.) (Jr., G - Middletown, Conn.) - The junior contributed across the boarf for the Blue Jays in a 2-1 week, averaging 17.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists while shooting 42.5% (17-40 FG, 8-18 3PT, 11-11 FT) overall.
